Next summer’s new Superman movie, “Man of Steel,” will have separate releases in 3D, 2D and IMAX, Warner Bros. announced Wednesday.
The film is directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan, the director of the recently completed trilogy of Batman films. None of Nolan’s Batman movies were released in 3D, although they were shown in IMAX.
“Man of Steel,” which stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El and Michael Shannon as General Zod.
Speaking of which, Shannon revealed in an interview this week that General Zod, in the new film, will not utter the catchphrase “Kneel before Zod,” which was made famous when Terrence Stamp played the character in “Superman 2.”
