Kevin Shields, audiophiliac conductor of seminal ‘shoe-gaze’ rock band My Bloody Valentine declared new material can be expected from the band by the end of the year, reports Vulture.
Also, fans can expect a bonus EP to be released some time in the next year.
The band’s most recent full-length – the critically acclaimed “Loveless” - remains sentimental and inspiring today, 21 years later (and still feels ahead of the times.) The creative process lasted over two years, where Shields’ implemented his lush, Phil Spector-esque layered soundscapes, forming a thick, heady sound experience that fans continue to rediscover.
