To help further entice holiday shoppers this year, Walmart is offering an LG Blu-ray Disc player for just $38, among other outrageous deals like movie discs priced from $1.96. The sale starts at 8:00 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving.

The retail giants are also offering an Emerson 32” 720p LCD TV for $148 and an Apple iPad 2 16GB with Wi-Fi for $399 (plus a $75 store gift card). However these sales will only be offered to shoppers waiting in the check-out line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on turkey day.

Other items on ‘super-sale’ during Walmart’s Thanksgiving evening hours are hundreds of DVD and Blu-ray movie titles such as ‘Brave’, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, and ‘The Hunger Games’, from $1.96 to $9.96. Also, you can buy an Xbox 360 4GB + Skylanders Bundle for $149 or a Nintendo Wii console for $89, with assorted game titles priced at $15 a pop.

Walmart will open its doors on Black Friday, the celebrated ‘first day of holiday shopping,’ the day after Thanksgiving, at 5 a.m. local time. Shoppers can expect a spectacle even that early in the morning.

If you do plan to shop this Black Friday or Thanksgiving, please be safe and courteous to others; try to not loose sight of what the holidays are truly all about.
