The reigning World’s Greatest Comedian, Louis C.K., famously bypassed debuting his Live at the Beacon Theater special last year on any major cable outlet, instead selling the special on his website for $5.
Now C.K. is going for a more hybrid approach. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the comedian will debut a new special on HBO in 2013. After it airs, according to the report, the special will be sold, once again for $5, on the comedian’s website.
Louis C.K. announced last month that his critically acclaimed FX series, Louie, will take a year off and return in 2014.
