The great American classic ‘On the Road’ has been adapted for the big screen and will hit theaters on December 21. Distributed in America by Sundance Selects and IFC Films, the Jack Kerouac novel tells his tale of traveling through the U.S. in the 1940s with buddy Neal Cassady and their rowdy interactions with their contemporaries such as William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg.
Directed by Walter Salles (‘The Motorcycle Diaries,’) the Brazilian-French-UK-US co-production stars Garrett Hedlund as the free-spirited Dean Moriarty and his girlfriend Marylou (Kristen Stewart) who meet and inspire Sal Paradise (played by Sam Riley,) an aspiring writer.
