Big news for fans of the popular Twitter feed @DadBoner: A DadBoner book is apparently on the way. According to the book’s Amazon.com page, “Power Moves: Livin’ the American Dream, USA Style,” is set for release on July 9, 2013. The book is available for preorder now.
@DadBoner, the Twitter persona of a hard-drinking, appetizer-loving, catchphrase-spouting divorced dad from Grand Blanc, Mich., named Karl Welzein, has over 115,000 followers.
The feed is anonymously written. Journalist Drew Magary of Deadspin appeared to unmask Welzein as a California comedian named Mike Burns, although that has not been confirmed by Burns.
The persona has recently expanded into longer-form writing- in true Welzein style- in a series of long posts on the Flint, Mich., CraigsList site. Welzein even wrote a movie script for a remake of “Road House,” to star Guy Fieri.
A Twitter user named Clue Haywood was apparently the first to note the book’s existence.
