Year’s Weirdest Project? Vince Vaughn, Glenn Beck Teaming on Reality Series

It’s fair to say none of us saw this one coming. Actor Vince Vaughn and his production company are teaming up with conservative media personality Glenn Beck to launch a reality competition series called Pursuit of the Truth.

The show, which sounds uncannily similar to HBO’s old Project Greenlight series, has the following description, according to Beck’s website The Blaze: 

The series will bring together twenty selected filmmakers from across the country to prove to a panel of expert judges that their project is worthy of the grand prize – financing and worldwide distribution for their feature documentary film idea.

Beck, a many-times bestselling author, radio host and former Fox News personality, now operates an independent video channel called GBTV. Vaughn operates his production company along with Peter Billingsley, the former child actor (from “A Christmas Story”) who is now a director and producer.
