Following in the footsteps of Gorillaz, another group of cartoons are taking their show on the road. Except in this case, there will be no actual live performances by cartoons but merely the presence of the humans who do the voice acting for Archer‘s cartoon characters.

However, this particular group of humans – Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Chris Parnell, Jessica Walters, Amber Nash (Pam) and Lucky Yates (Krieger) – are some of the funniest meatbags ever, so it should still be a pretty fun show.

For Archer Live! they will be joined by series creator Adam Reed and executive producer Matt Thompson to do live readings of classic Archer scenes as well as do the more typical convention panel setup where they answer audience questions etc. For its part, the audience will most likely try to break the world record for the number of times that the catchphrase “Danger Zone!” can be uttered in one sitting.

Unfortunately, there are only four dates for this thing: one in Los Angeles, one in San Fransisco, one in Philadelphia and one in New York. So, Archer fans in other cities will have to make due by following the characters’ robust social media presences until the show returns on January 17th.

Further details/official press release for the tour can be found here.
