The current status of the 16GB Nexus 7 tablet (in the Google Play store) has changed once again. Simply put, the 16GB model is once again in stock. The tablet remains priced at $249 and is currently showing a delivery time of 3-5 business days, which for those wondering — is the same as the 8GB model.

That being said, the decision as to which model to buy is a personal decision and it seems that not even the crew here at GadgeTell can fully agree. Jeremy picked up the 8GB model and is using his tablet with the Wi-Drive and that seems to have supplemented any lack of internal storage. I went with the 16GB model and have been pleased up until this point. The one and only point that I will make in regards to the storage — neither have the full amount due to system files so you will really have closer to 6GB or 14GB for actual use and with HD movies and games that top out at around 1.5GB in size — that can go quickly.

Lastly, if you are still picking up a Nexus 7 tablet, we suggest you check out the essential apps posts for some ideas on usage.
