Google has rolled-out the latest update for the Gmail iOS app. This update brings the app up to version 1.3 and with the new number comes a few new features. The new goodies include the ability to save picture attachments to your photo library. The process to save images is simple, just touch and hold the image to save it. In addition, Google has stated that the animation and scrolling on iPhone and iPod touch should be “smoother.” There was also the mention of bug fixes. Bottom line, this was far from the biggest update, however we suspect that more than a few users will be happy about the ability to save images to the photo library. Otherwise, the Gmail app maintains the requirement of iOS 4.0 or later for use and can be found by way of the iOS App Store.
