This latest from Lenovo may not be quite as exciting as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon that we mentioned yesterday, however given the starting price point and the specs, it should be a nice offering for anyone considering a 14-inch notebook. Though, speaking of the display, we cannot help but feel it would have been a bit nicer if the resolution was higher than 1366 x 768. But wait, we are getting ahead of ourselves here. The notebook is the ThinkPad T430u, which Lenovo has dubbed an ultraportable.

Other goodies on the ThinkPad T430u include a weight of 4.08 pounds and a thickness of 0.83-inches. The notebook has a starting price of $779, however as we often see — that can and will change depending on the configuration you choose. For example, the ThinkPad T430u can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and either a traditional HDD or 128GB SSD. Lenovo has also included a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M graphics card and is touting the notebook as having up to seven hours of battery life.

With that, those interested can expect to see this come available with Lenovo a bit later in the month.
