As we were expecting to happen, RIM has officially released the 4G-equipped Playbook tablet for those in Canada. The PlayBook 4G is available with Rogers, Bell and Telus. As far as the pricing goes, here is the breakdown for these three carriers;
Rogers
$349.99 — three-year agreement
$549.99 — no-term
Bell
$349.95 — three-year agreement
$549.95 — no-term
Telus
$549.99 — no-term
As you can see, aside from the 5 cent difference, Rogers and Bell are just about the same. In terms of Telus, they have the same no-term price but do not appear to have any three-year pricing available. Needless to say, despite the $200 increase from the three-year to the no-term — we sort of feel you would be better off going no-term in this case. Otherwise, as far as the specs goes, the BlackBerry PlayBook 4G has LTE and HSPA+ connectivity and 32GB of internal storage. The remaining specs are as follows;
