It looks like the Google+ Photos team has recently added some new functionality. The new goodies should be nice for those looking to view and/or download images on (or from) Google+. Beginning first with the new option for viewing — slideshows. Simply put, those viewing images on Google+ will now be able to view those images as a slideshow. The process here is simple, just click and open an image and hit the slideshow button to begin. And yes, the slideshows can be viewed in full-screen mode.

Otherwise, the other addition is the ability to download complete album galleries. And nicely done on the part of Google, these downloads will come nicely packaged in a ZIP file. The process here is nothing more than, while on an album page, clicking the “More” option and then clicking “Download album.” From here, you will get the ZIP file which contains all the images in that particular gallery. Finally, for those who want to prevent others from being able to download your galleries, you can turn that option off. In order to make that happen you will need to head to your Google+ Settings and uncheck the option for “Allow viewers to download my photos.”
