It looks like Google has recently rolled out an updated Google+ app for both Android and iOS. This update brings some the same changes across both platforms however there are a few nice perks and fixes on each of the platforms. Beginning first with the shared feature – Google is now allowing teens (age 13 and up) to create and/or join Hangouts.

Moving over to the iOS version, on both the iPhone and iPad, any clicked web links in posts will now open directly in Chrome. Well, provided you have the Chrome browser installed anyway. Otherwise, the iOS app also dealt with instant upload.

  • Instant Upload bug fixes to improve performance.

As for the Android side, here is what you can expect to see;

  • Join Hangouts on Air from mobile
  • Floating timestamp in photos view
  • Shortcuts for post creation
  • Ability to report abuse in Events

Finally, as one would expect — these updates cane grabbed from their respective app stores.
