Aside from gushing about the first Android-powered Coolpix S800c camera, Nikon has also introduced two other digital shooters under the Coolpix product line. These are compact and yet seemingly powerful and versatile; the Coolpix P7700 and the Coolpix S01.
First, let’s take a look at the Coolpix P7700. This digital shooter boasts of a sharp 7.1x zoom NIKKOR ED glass lens with maximum aperture of f/2 and a 12.2MP CMOS sensor. Aside from capturing photos which according to Nikon are stunning in sharpness and vivid in color, the camera also records full HD 1080p video. Short of being an entry-level DSLR, the Coolpix P7700 will cater to both point-and-shoot users to professionals looking for a back-up to DSLR cameras.
The Nikon Coolpix S01 on other hand is geared more for you if you’re always on the go and needs to take snaps of anything from time to time. This camera is said to be so slim that it can be slipped into your pocket or purse. Specs-wise, it boasts of a 2.5-inch touchpanel, 10MP CCD sensor, built-in flash, and electornic VR.
The Nikon Coolpix P7700 and Coolpix S01 are expected to hit the market sometime in September for $449.95 and $179.95 respectively.
