US Cellular have announced their latest 4G smartphone offering, the Samsung Galaxy Metrix 4G. And as the name would imply, the handset brings support for the US Cellular 4G LTE network. That connectivity, or more specifically, the availability of the 4G LTE network will also determine the price of the handset. According to US Cellular;

“The Galaxy Metrix 4G will be available for $179.00 after a $100 mail-in rebate. It will be available for $129.00 after a $100 mail-in rebate in markets where 4G service is available today or will be available by the end of 2012.”

Otherwise, in terms of the device itself, the Galaxy Metrix 4G is an Android device with a 4-inch display, 1GHz processor, front-facing camera, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Finally, the Galaxy Metrix 4G will be available online beginning today and in-stores this Friday (August 24th).
