We have seen the recent leaks, and well, it looks like LG has since come forward with a n official announcement for the Optimus G smartphone. The handset has been detailed, however at least initially — the handset is only going to be available in Korea (beginning next month). Though, on that note, a global release is expected to take place later in the year. Moving the release details aside and getting into the specs — the LG Optimus G brings features to include LTE connectivity, a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768) True HD IPS display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Other goodies include a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2100 mAh battery. Finally, the handset weighs in at 145 grams and measures in at 131.0 x 68.9 x 8.45mm in size.
