Firefox for Android has just been updated and is now in version 15. The top-billing for the new features brought by this update is the badly wanted tablet support. So, if you own the Google Nexus 7, you now have a good if not equally good alternative to Google’s mobile Chrome browser. Support for tablet means that the mobile browser is now faster on tablets but there’s also a new, or as Mozilla puts it – beautiful new design.
Other new features include the following:
Find in page
Text Selection fixed
Desktop sites can be requested from the menu
Better tabs experience – swipe to close
Support for SPDY networking protocol v3
Bookmarks & history can be imported from stock browser in the Settings
