Samsung at IFA today has just announced its first Windows Phone 8 device, the Samsung ATIV S. The ATIV S is said to have been built using the latest and greatest technology and could be considered as a super phone, well at least according to the Windows Phone Blog. Feature-wise, the handset seems pretty capable with its 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB on-board storage, microSD slot and 2300 mAH battery. Design-wise, the ATIV S is only 8.7mm thick, has a body made of brushed aluminum, Gorilla Glass display and a capacitive button to boot. By and large, the Samsung ATIV S will remind you of the old Samsung Galaxy S2 sans the Android flavor and on its place its the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS.
