We were given a bit of a look at the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite tablet back towards the end of July, and well, it looks like the company has now offered an official unveiling, press release style. According to details coming from Huawei, the MediaPad 7 Lite is going to be a 7-inch tablet with a 1024 x 600 resolution that is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor. The tablet will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with features to include a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera, a 3.2 megapixel rear-facing camera, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Otherwise, as per the lite in the name, the tablet is described as being ultra-portable in nature and will have a “sleek” metal unibody shell that weighs in at just 370 grams. Finally, no word yet in terms of pricing, however Huawei did let us know that the tablet would be shipping to South Africa, China, Russia, Philippines and Taiwan at the end of August and then to Indonesia and Malaysia in September.
