My upgrade eligibility date with Verizon Wireless is coming up quickly and given that — I have already begun to think about which device I want to buy next. Moving from the iPhone and going to Android this time around. And while I realize plenty can change in the 5 weeks till my upgrade date comes in — as of the present time, it is looking like I will be getting a Galaxy S III. Needless to say, Galaxy S III goodies seem to be popping up lately. Enter this case which I recently spotted thanks to the folks over at GottaBeMobile.

The case is the ego Hybrid Series USB case and in addition to being a case — it has a slot for a USB flash drive. Granted, a flash drive is not something I use every single day at this point, however I still use one often enough and tend to carry one when out and about — just in case. That said, it would be nice to have that USB drive kept tightly in my phone case.

Anyway, the cases and the flash drives are available in a wide variety of colors. In fact, there are six color options for the flash drives and six color options for the case. Better yet, they can be mixed and matched which means there are a total of 36 possible color combinations. The flash drives are available with either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of storage and the cases offer device protection and are scratch resistant. Perhaps more important though, the case has access and openings for all the controls and features of the phone.

As for price, you have several options — buying a drive and a case or buying a pre-set color combination. The drives sell for $13.95, $18.95 and $28.95 for the 4GB, 8GB and 16GB respectively. The empty case then sells for $18.75. Those looking to get a complete package, expect to pay $34.95, $39.95 or $49.95 for a case with 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of storage.
