Samsung Galaxy Note II now available for pre-order in the UK; SIM-free for £455

UK retailer Clove has announced the availability of the Galaxy Note II. This is the SIM-free (contract-free) version and while it is not expected to arrive until sometime in mid-October — it is available for pre-order as of today. Clove will eventually have the Galaxy Note II available in the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB model and in the Marble White or Titanium Grey colors. The one catch, only the 16GB models (both colors) are available for pre-order at this time. The 16GB Galaxy Note II is priced at £455, or more accurately, £546 with VAT being included. Otherwise, just for the reminder, the Galaxy Note II feature set includes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean along with a a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass, quad-core 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3100 mAh battery.
