It was the perfect timing for Kobo, as it announces its latest e-reader products which in case you’re not aware is a few hours before Amazon launches its own new e-readers. But, we’re not going to take that path and just give Kobo the benefit of the doubt and say that it was well, their plan to keep information about their latest products on to themselves until now. And so, let’s all welcome Kobo’s latest e-reader, the Kobo Glo, Kobo Mini and Kobo Arc.
The Kobo Glo which is valued at $129.99 is a 6-inch e-reader featuring a ComfortLight technology which basically allows you to read 24/7 by providing ample light especially during daytime. Kobo says that this e-reader turns pages ultra-fast and has a high responsive touch interactivity. It’s available in Pink Sunset, Blue Moon, Silver Star, and Black Night.
The Kobo Mini on the other will cost you $79.99 and features a 5-inch in size and weighs 134 grams. This E-Ink eReader can carry up to 1,000 ebooks and has an E Ink touch screen with customizable font options. It has a colorful SnapBacks available in Teal, Ruby Red and Purple.
Finally, there’s the Kobo Arc which is a direct competitor of the Amazon Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7. It features a 7-inch display and a interface called Tapestries which allows for easier ways of finding videos, movies, eBooks, webpages and other content. Under the hood, this tablet is loaded with a 1.5GHz dual core processor, and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also has a front-facing camera.
