The Android Tumblr app has recently been updated and the first mention in the changelog is noted as being a “small fix for Jelly Bean.” And well, given I have been rocking the Nexus 7 and have yet to be able to install Tumblr on the tablet — I was excited for a moment. Needless to say, despite having a “small” fix for Jelly Bean, that doesn’t mean Nexus 7 (tablet) support just yet. Back to waiting. Otherwise, the Tumblr app (for Android) also had some bugs taken care of as well as some other goodies including the following;

  • Tags: View your tracked tags and find new ones through the new tag search.
  • Fast Reblog: Hold down the reblog button on any post to reblog it on your main account.
  • Save and share photos: Tap a photo and use the menu on the top right of the screen.
  • Reliability: Sending posts to the site while your phone is off has been vastly improved.

Bottom line, despite my disappointment — this looks to be another solid update for the Tumblr app on Android.
