Is Barnes & Noble planning a Windows 8 Nook? Rumors suggest they are

We have heard some rumors suggesting that Barnes & Noble was planning to roll-out an updated NOOK in the not to distant future. And well, that bit by itself does not sound all that surprising. Especially considering we have just seen their rival, Amazon, who unveiled more than a few new models of the Kindle. The interesting part here, according to Digital Trends, Barnes & Noble may be doing something new with the upcoming NOOK. Or more specifically, running something new. According to the report, the new NOOK will be a Windows 8 device. At this time we the rumors suggest a late-September announcement from B&N. But again, nothing official just yet.
