Google has rolled out the latest for the mobile Google Drive app. And nicely done, the update has arrived for those using Android and iOS. The big change for iOS users comes as the ability to edit documents. Of course, that it not to say the update on the Android side was small or insignificant in any way. Beginning first with the iOS update, Google Drive has gone up to version 1.1.0 and has maintained itself as a universal with proper support for the iPad as well as the iPhone and iPod touch. The document editing comes as the ability to edit with formatting and collaboration. Otherwise, the remainder of the iOS changlog reads as follows;
Edits to your Google documents appear to collaborators in seconds
Richer Google presentations with animations and speaker notes
Create a new folder or Google document
Upload photos and videos from your device or a photo directly from your camera
Move an item to a folder in your Drive
Delete and remove files from your Drive
Drive is now available in over 30 languages
Moving over to the Android side, the latest version of Google Drive is 1.1.4.12 and similar to the iOS side — the Android update has quite a bit of additions, improvements and changes. Google Drive for Android v1.1.4.12 brings the following;
Create folder, upload to folder and move to folder
Filter folder contents by file type
Option to auto-sync pinned content while on 3G
Richer Google Presentations viewing experience
Basic table support in Documents Editor
Create, reply and resolve comments in Documents Editor
