Nintendo held an event this morning that was focused on the Wii U. The show started off with the confirmation that the Wii U will be released in the United States on November 18, 2012. Nintendo will sell two different models at $299.99 and $349.99.The $299 Basic Set will come with the white Wii U console, the Wii U GamePad, AC adapter, HDMI cable and a Wii U sensor bar. There’s also a Deluxe Set that includes everything I just mentioned plus a GamePad charging cradle, a stand for the console and GamePad, 32GB of storage and Nintendo Land. Nintendo will also enroll purchasers of the black Deluxe Set in something it calls Deluxe Digital Promotion. This promotion will reward points for purchasing games from the Nintendo eShop.
