Skype just announced that it has released a Beta version of Skype 5.11 for Mac. One major feature of the latest release is instant messaging via Messenger. It will let you sign in with your Microsoft account and you will be able to see presences and send and receive IM messages from your friends who are also using Messenger, Xbox, Hotmail or Outlook.com.  The release also improved Facebook integration, allowing you to sign in directly with your Facebook account without the need to create a Skype account first. Additionally, you can now sign in with a Microsoft or Facebook account and will be given the option to link your Skype account. Choosing the option to link to Skype will display a combined list of your friends. This according to Skype is currently being worked on to probably separate the lists. And lastly, Skype Beta 5.11 now also lets you open different conversations in separate windows by simply selecting the option in Preferences -> General – > Open conversation in new window. Haven’t tried Skype Beta for Mac yet, then now is the chance for you to do so by simply following the via link below.
