Twitter app updated on Android, the iPhone and iPad

It looks like the folks at Twitter have been busy, having just rolled out an updated release for Android as well as the iPhone and iPad. The updated releases arrive as version 3.4.0 for Android and 5.0 for the iPhone and iPad. And as one would have guessed, they can be downloaded/updated from their respective app stores — Google Play and the iOS App Store (links below). In terms of what has changed, lots. Well, lots of noticeable items anyway. Version 3.4.0 on Android and version 5.0 on the iPhone and iPad both bring the following;

• New profiles with header photos
• Photo streams on profiles and events
• Other improvements, polish, and fixes

Otherwise, the changelog for the Android version also notes the following;

• Pinch-to-zoom on photos
• Search suggestions for people, topics and hashtags
• Improved protected account management including the ability to accept or deny follower requests

Bottom line here, if you are using the mobile Twitter app on Android or iOS you will likely want to grab this latest update.
