Coming by way of the Official Google Blog, we have word of a content agreement with Twentieth Century Fox. Simply put, this means that YouTube viewers and Google Play users will soon have plenty more content to pick from. In particular, Fox content to pick from. The offerings begin today, with Prometheus which just to clarify is available in HD and a full three weeks ahead of the DVD, Blu-ray and video-on-demand release. Some of the television shows that will be coming include Family Guy as well as Glee, Modern Family and New Girl. As for movies, expect to see X-Men, Ice Age and Black Swan just to name a few. Otherwise, as we often see, these releases will be available first (and only) in the US. That said, Google did promise that availability in “more countries” will follow “soon.”
