After selling out the pre-order stock one hour after the iPhone 5 pre-orders started, Apple had to move shipment dates of new pre-orders from September 21 to a two weeks estimate before finally slipping to a 2 to 3 week estimate. But that was last week. Right now, shipment estimates for new orders have slipped back and current estimates are showing as 3 to 4 weeks. Sorry to break the news for those of you in the U.S. (Canada and Australia as well) who are still contemplating on whether to get the iPhone 5 or not. And too bad that this announcement has to come after initial reviews of the iPhone have just been published (the embargo lifted). Most of these reviews were nothing but high praises for the iPhone 5 and for the average users, reading those reviews is enough to convince you in getting the handset. If 3 to 4 weeks waiting time is too long for you, well you can still try your luck by pre-ordering from any of the three carriers – AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. Their expected shipping time still stands at 2 to 3 weeks. So then if you’re planning to get in line on September 21, make sure to head to the nearest Apple store to get a big chance of acquiring the iPhone 5. We’re pretty sure that supplies delivered in stores are as limited as those available online. Good luck, folks!
