Tobii, the company that wowed us at CES with its eye-controlled asteroid blasting game, has partnered with NTT DOCOMO for a new concept tablet called ibeam. ibeam will have its debut CEATEC Japan in early October.

The prototype tablet itself is being manufactured by Fujitsu. Tobii and NTT DOCOMO is hoping to share the possibilities of eye control as it pertains to mobile devices. User interface experiences can be altered to take advantage of this technology, and it can also greatly benefit disabled individuals.

Since this only a proof of concept, we’re not expecting to hear about any consumer tablets with Tobii’s technology anytime too soon.
