Roku today announced that its tiny wireless streaming player, the Roku Streaming Stick will be available starting next month. If you’ve always wanted to stream video and music on your television, be prepared to grab this streaming device which is roughly the size of a USB flash drive – for $99.99. You just need to plug this device to any Roku Ready devices and you’ll gain instant access to the Roku platform. Roku also announced that new Roku Ready devices be available in stores this coming holiday season. These include LED television sets from Apex Digital, Hitachi and Insignia.

Roku also announced that starting today, the VUDU streaming channel is now a part of the Roku platform. For the uninitiated, VUDU is a subscription-free, video streaming service of Walmart that offers more than 100,000 new releases ranging from Hollywood classic, indie films and TV shows. Said channel is available now on the Roku 2, Roku HD and Roku LT set-top boxes. It will also be available on the just announced Roku Streaming Stick.
