We were a bit disappointed when T-Mobile and Samsung released the Galaxy S Blaze 4G with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, however it looks like an update has since come available for the handset. And yes, it does arrive in the form of an Ice Cream Sandwich dessert. In fact, the Galaxy S Blaze 4G is getting updated to Android 4.0.4 ICS. The update has been announced and detailed by the folks at T-Mobile and will be available beginning on October 3rd. The one catch, the update is not coming over-the-air. T-Mobile describes this as follows;

“Beginning October 3, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will have an optional software update to Android version 4.0.4 / Software T769UVLH5 via Samsung Kies only.”

Aside from the goodies that come along with Android 4.0 ICS, this update will bring a Mobile Hotspot icon location fix and an add email option fix. Finally, the update is said to measure in at 15.7MB in size and those looking to update will need to have a minimum of 20MB available as free space on a non-rooted device.
