Samsung has offered up some details in terms of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III smartphone. Or probably more accurate, a tease. What we have is an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean FAQ page on the Samsung website. Said page offers a look at when the Jelly Bean update should be arriving for those in the US. The page breaks things down between carrier and device. In this case, we are looking at details for the Galaxy S III as the only other handsets mentioned include the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G — both of which have Android 4.1 already available. Anyway, according to the teaser, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is “coming soon” for the Galaxy S III on Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular. That said, we have no idea of how Samsung defines “soon” and we have no idea if these updates have been approved by Samsung, by the carrier or both. We will keep our fingers crossed though.
