AT&T announces Ice Cream Sandwich for the Pantech Element and Pantech Burst

We are at a point now where plenty in the Android world have begun to think only about getting Jelly Bean. Of course, we suspect that the truth is many more are probably in a position to get Ice Cream Sandwich as opposed to Jelly Bean. That being said, while Jelly Bean on every (capable) device would be nice to see, we are certainly not going to talk all that bad about a tablet or smartphone getting an update to Android. That being the case, AT&T has recently announced just that for a pair of devices — the Pantech Burst and the Pantech Element. According to details coming from the AT&T announcement post, those with either of those devices that are looking to update — you will need to surf on over to the Pantech website to get the process started. Otherwise, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update will bring goodies to include an updated browser with improved page loading, tabbed browsing, offline reading and desktop mode. Also included will be expanded camera options, a Recent Apps button, resizable widgets and a new lock screen that provides shortcuts to the camera, text messaging, phone dialer and home screen as well as the ability to create home screen folders and the ability to swipe away notifications on the notifications bar. Finally, the update also brings some AT&T changes such as an updated Setup Wizard with additional training information and (for Burst users) — Native Sync for AT&T Address Book.
