AT&T has announced the upcoming availability of a pair of Windows 8 tablets. The models include the Asus VivoTab RT and the Samsung ATIV Smart PC, both of which are set to arrive in time for the holiday shopping season. Simply put, while the carrier has stated that these devices will be available, they have yet to offer a specific release date or a price for either. What we were told however was a bit about each. Beginning first with the Asus VivoTab RT, this one will bring goodies to include 4G LTE connectivity along with a 10.1-inch IPS display with Asus TruVivid technology, a quad-core NVIDA Tegra 3 TE processor and 32GB of internal storage. The VivoTab RT will also ship with the 2013 RT Preview Edition of Microsoft Office Home and Student. Moving over to the Samsung ATIV Smart PC and we learn of a slightly larger device. This tablet will arrive sporting an 11.6-inch HD PLS display along with a dual-core 1.5GHz Intel Clover Trail processor, 64GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity and ship with a trial version of Microsoft Office 2013. With that, if you had been hoping and/or waiting to get a Windows 8 tablet with a carrier agreement — AT&T should soon have two options for your consideration.
