Windows 8 is a couple weeks away from being released at retail. It’s a dramatic change from anything Microsoft has done before, and it can be a bit confusing to navigate. Windows 8 is designed for touchscreens, but it’s also compatible with mice. Today, Logitech introduced a few products that are designed to make Windows 8 navigation easier for those without touchscreens.
Logitech announced the Zone Touch Mouse T400, the Touch Mouse T620 (pictured) and the Wireless Rechargable Touchpad T650. They’re priced at $49.99, $69.99 and $79.99.
Each of these devices are pre-installed with common Windows 8 gestures. Instead of clicking and dragging to scroll through the new Windows 8 start menu, each of these devices utilize swipe gestures to perform that task. There are also gestures to bring up the new Charms menu and to navigate to the traditional Windows desktop.
Battery life on these devices are rated for 18 months, 3-6 months and 30 days (from least expensive to most expensive).
