Still remember Rockmelt, the social browser that launched what it calls a non-traditional web browser sometime in 2010? Well, it’s still alive and the folks at Rockmelt has been busy working a native iPad app for their social browser. That has now been completed and Rockmelt, the native iPad app is now available on the iOS App Store. According to the app’s description, Rockmelt is a fast and fun way to discover and share the best of the web. Rockmelt for iPad will let your web browsing experience be more beautiful with infinite, image-rich stream of great content, faster browsing with minimal load times and fast rendering, ad-free browsing, offline browsing, web search, discovering great content through your friends, and social sharing. More importantly, Rockmelt will let you update your Facebook status or post tweets and chat with friends. And the more you use the browser, the more it gets acquainted with you. Soon, you’ll be able to add comments to news stories, photos and other media that you find while web browsing. Finally, since this is a native iPad app, using the browser is expected to be easier through touch gesture. It is after all optimized for that.
