This is not the first time we have heard about 100GB of free Google Drive storage for Chome OS users, however it looks like the offer has recently received some further confirmation. Of course, it still has not been officially announced by Google which really means that details could change or that it may go away entirely.

Anyway, this latest bit comes by way of some code found within the latest build of Chromium OS. It seems that a developer by the name of Francois Beaufort discovered some code that contained the mention of the “new Drive promo.” The one catch here, well, the one catch aside not having an official announcement — this offer is reportedly only going to be available for new Chrome OS users.
