If you happen to be looking for a low-priced notebook and prefer it to have Linux pre-installed — you may be interested in an upcoming offer from Asus. It looks like they are going to soon launch the Asus X201e, with Ubuntu. The notebook will bring specs to include an 11.6-inch (1366 x 768) display, 1.1GHz Intel Celeron B847 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive. Other features include HDMI out, a VGA quality webcam and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity. Perhaps the key factor here. Well, the key factor aside from Ubuntu — the price. The Asus X201e has begun to show up for pre-order with US based retailers — of which PC Mall has it priced at $315.99.
