T-Mobile had announced the LG Optimus L9 smartphone earlier in the month and as we often see with these types of announcements — the pricing and release date were left as a mystery. That being said, the carrier has since returned and we now have those bits. In short, the LG Optimus L9 will be available October 31st. The handset will be $79.99, which comes after a $50 mail-in rebate and along with a two-year agreement. All said and done, the Optimus L9 may not be the most exciting device and yes, it is launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it still has some decent specs for an $80 handset. The Optimus L9 features include a 4.5-inch qHD with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, dual-core 1GHz processor, 2150 mAh battery and 5 megapixel rear-facing camera. The handset is also on the thinner side, measuring in at 0.36-inches in thickness.
