We saw Amazon recently announce the software update for the Kindle Fire HD and it looks like that was not the only news regarding the ereading tablet. According to details coming from Amazon, the Kindle Fire HD is now the number one best-selling product “across all of Amazon worldwide.” This also means the Kindle Fire HD has bumped the original Kindle Fire from the number one position. A position that device held since it launched last fall. And as one would expect, Amazon did not offer any specifics in terms of device sales.
Otherwise, the Kindle Fire HD remains available in a 16GB and 32GB model and priced at $199 and $249 respectively. The Kindle Fire HD specs include a 7-inch (1280 x 800) IPS display, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers and a battery life of up to 11 hours for reading, surfing the web, listening to music or watching videos. Not to mention, the tight integration with the wide variety of Amazon services — including Amazon Prime.
Finally, the original Kindle Fire remains available and priced at $159.
