So far we have yet to see the iPad mini, however Apple did mention an update to iBooks, some numbers for various products and services and now we have word of an updated MacBook Pro.

To be specific, a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with a Retina display. The good news for those looking for a new notebook, this one will be available beginning today. The price will begin at $1,699 and include goodies such as a dual-core 2.5Ghz i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. These models will also feature Intel HD Graphics 4000, stereo speakers, dual microphones, a 720p HD FaceTime camera, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, an SD card slot, HDMI and up to 7 hours of battery life.

Otherwise, it was noted that this new MBP will be 20 percent thinner as compared to previous models and weigh in at just 3.5 pounds. Touching on the Retina display for a moment, lets mention some of the details — this will bring a 178 degree viewing angle, 300 nits brightness, 29 percent higher contrast ratio and a 75 percent reduction in reflection.

Finally, some of the upgrades for this new 13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro include Core i7 processors and up to 768GB of SSD storage.
