Apple announced the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad yesterday and while we had known that a Wi-Fi + Cellular model (for each) would be coming available, it looks like a few more details have been revealed. We have yet to see a specific release date for these models, however the Wi-Fi only will be released on November 2. Apple stated that the Wi-Fi + Cellular models will be released “a couple weeks after” which implies that we should expect them to arrive in mid-November.
Otherwise, both the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad will be available with Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint. Each of the carriers will have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models available. The iPad mini will be priced at $459, $559 and $659 with the fourth-generation iPad priced at $629, $729 and $829. The iPad 2 will remain available “where they are sold now” with a price of $529 for a 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
Finally, pre-orders for “all models” of the iPad mini and fourth generation iPad will begin on October 26th.
