Some good news for those who happen to live in Canada and have been looking to begin accepting credit cards using their mobile device — Square is now available. Simply put, Canadians can now accept credit cards using an iPhone, iPad or Android device. The reader is free to get and can be requested from www.square.ca. The mobile apps can be downloaded (also for free) from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Finally, similar to what we have with Square here in the US, those in Canada can expect a 2.75 percent per swipe fee with funds appearing in your bank account on the next business day.
