While not yet available for iOS devices, the Xbox SmartGlass app has recently come available for Android. The app, as one would expect, is available by way of Google Play. The app requires Android 4.0 or later for use, is free to download, free to use and is currently sitting at version 1.0. As to what you can expect from the SmartGlass app on Android, well, according to Microsoft it can be used to “enhance your entertainment on Xbox 360.” That being said, some of the things that you will be able to do with the Xbox SmartGlass app include being able to;
Navigate your Xbox 360 with swipe and tap
Use your phone’s keyboard to type to your Xbox 360
Browse the Internet on your Xbox 360 with full keyboard and zooming
Play, pause, fast forward, rewind, and stop videos and music on your Xbox 360
Search the full Xbox catalog of music, video, and games
Enjoy rich, interactive experiences from select game and entertainment content creators
Track and compare your achievements with your Xbox friends
