Amazon released its Cloud Drive Photos for Android app, topped with 5GB of storage in the cloud for free. Just like any other cloud storage service, this app lets you upload, store, share and enjoy photos from your Android phones and tablets. Of course, if the free 5GB storage is not enough to store your photos, you can still purchase additional storage from Amazon for $10 a year for 20GB.

Cloud Drive Photos for Android lets you do the following:

  • Save your entire photo collection in Cloud Drive and your photos will be available to enjoy on your Kindle Fire, Android Phones and tablets, or with any web browser.
  • Select photos directly from your Cloud Drive and share them throughFacebook, email and many other apps.
  • Save photos to your Cloud Drive – simply press and hold on a photo or album and select “Upload to Cloud Drive” to save directly to the Amazon Cloud from your device.
  • Display your photos beautifully in a horizontal mosaic or vertical grid view, optimized for the screen size of your Android device.

And since this is an Amazon app, it was integrated into Kindle Fire HD, so you don’t have to install it if you’re getting your Kindle Fire HD just now. Otherwise, you can also download the app from Google Play or the Amazon Appstore.
