If you’ve ever wanted to read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series in in digital format, you may want to check out the Diary of a Wimpy Kid app for iOS. This app was released by ComiXology on November 1, and contains the first six books in the series.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid iOS app has some of the same features as the original ComiXology app. You can either read the books with everything on the page exposed, or you can enter Guided View mode to read one panel at a time. This is the same feature that’s used in every comic book offered by ComiXology. What’s interesting is Diary of a Wimpy Kid isn’t considered to be a comic, but has enough illustrations to mimic a comic.

The app can also sync to other platforms ComiXology is involved with including Android, Windows 8 and the web. That means you can purchase Diary of a Wimpy Kid on Android, download the dedicated iOS app and download the books again with the same account.
