Splashtop 2, the app that lets you remotely control your PC from an Android tablet, received an update today that enables Windows 8 gesture support. Gesture support is available for the free and paid versions of Splashtop 2. This update also brings support for Intel x86 Android smartphones and tablets.
After the update has been applied, you also have to make sure Splashtop Streamer on your PC has also been updated to the latest version. Once everything is in order, you’ll have access to the entire suite of Windows 8 touch gestures on your tablet or smartphone. You can swipe from the sides, pinch to zoom and close apps by dragging them down.
I found performance to be fair. Gestures were a little laggy on my tablet, but were very smooth on my PC.
